When it comes to boating matters, we have some very knowledgable members in the club.
In this first of a new instructional series, we aim to highlight the skills of some of our members by kicking off with this short video showing just what can be achieved, if you have the technical know how and some determination.
If you have learnt something new by watching this video, then please show your appreciation by sharing the link with friends. (Don’t forget to turn up the volume).

Thank you so much, I had no idea there was such expertise at the club, I am sure I shall find this invaluable and can’t wait to see the next clip.

Thanks you for your kind words Miranda. World class instructional videos are hard to produce, but I think we’ve managed it with this one. Straightening out a bent metal plate can so easily go wrong, but with the aid of this video I’m sure you’ll never struggle again. I messed up my first couple of attempts, so I think I will go and try another one now.

I must say it’s such a relief to see your Chairman and Vice Chairman proving their worth.
Tell me, are they both Chippendales, or have I got my chairs confused?
Paul_H says
No, you are confused. Although they are both athletic and muscular, which is why you got confused, they are highly skilled professionals in their own rights. Martyn has a BMF in Quantum Pontoon Mechanics and an NVQ 1 (merit) in straightening bent metal plates, whilst John has just published a remarkable thesis on ‘The degradation of steel vs stainless steel in the construction of pontoon ancillary equipment’. You have to admit, that’s pretty impressive! We’re lucky to have them as members.
